I don't quite know what to make of John Turturro's performance in The Plot Against America. Pacino-esque, maybe.

Pacino was great in The Irishman, is this a compliment?

Pacino in Irishman put me off initially but I grew to really like the performance. Maybe the same here.

I saw a specialscreening of Turturro's Romance and Cigarettes that he attended, sitting a few rows ahead of me at BAM. At one scene, I was overcome and cackled loudly at a scene no one else responded to. Turturro turned his whole body in his seat, smiled at me with a huge grin.

It was like we were the two people in the theater that got the joke- his joke! I have loved him since. (Also that movie is hilarious and utterly bizarre).
