3. There's a policy nuance that needs to be addressed: while decoupling from China has genuine appeal to constituencies on both right & left, it's not something that can be done during pandemic. Only China has the productive capacity to make crucial medical supplies.

4. The needle that Biden will have to thread is incorporating Sanders critique of existing trade agreements and also showing dangers of Trump's nativist approach while answering corruption accusations. Will require real political agility
