Millions are being thrown out of work (at a level that might exceed the Great Depression), a global pandemic is ravaging society and hurting the working class most but you're focused on dunking on people who want a more robust social democracy. Cool!

I think the concern is that misidentifying the obstructions to robust social democracy might make it harder to achieve. the stinginess of the response isn't because of Dems, mostly.

For the next round of stimulus, Nancy Pelosi is advocating tax rebates that would go, as even centrist economists complain, to millionaires:https://twitter.com/JustinWolfers/status/1244782126798647299 …

yep, she's been worse than Schumer in a lot of ways. there's also Maxine Waters' bill, though, which is great. Pelosi'ss also pushing for voting reform, and GOP is refusing to contemplate any more spending *at all.*

there is a lot to be concerned about, but attacking Ds without identifying that the actual main barrier to more aid is Rs doesn't seem helpful.

Centrist Dems have made it clear that the only way we're going to get better policy is by beating it out of them, so that's what we're gonna do.

Centrist Democrats are worthless, and I will hammer on them until they start fighting Republicans at least as hard as they fight Progressives.

But whenever they actually do something, y'all lie about it and say they didn't. Democrats *increased* unemployment benefits by a flat *$2,400 per month*, such that going on unemployment can actually increase your income, and Dave Klion is just flat pretending they didn't.

If you want to argue "$600/week extra for people who lost their jobs isn't enough", then say so. But don't say that all "Dems" did was a single $1200 check, because that's a massive lie.

If you're able to say "Democrats this X which is good, Y which is a start, and Z which is bad", you're a progressive. If you say "Democrats only did Z which is bad", you're not "moving the Overton window", you're just trolling and you're a fundamentally unserious person

If you are more obsessed with policing the discourse of twitter leftists than you are with fighting for a bigger social democracy during a pandemic and economic depression, then you are a fundamentally unserious person.
