Honest question: why are you so much more favorable to Joe Biden than Hillary Clinton considering they occupy the same political space, with the same history and have comparably bad scandals?

There are a few reasons. Biden is less of an unreconstructed, virulent hawk. Biden doesn't have a network of dedicated online sycophants; in fact, Biden was widely opposed by the media for the 2020 Dem nomination. Biden is also less personally corrupt, vindictive, and nasty.

Biden led the charge on the Iraq War, devised Obama's drone-based foreign policy, called for the party to become more hawkish through the 80s and 90s. He's let his family profit off his career from the start of his career to now. This doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

He asked me about Biden in relation to Hillary Clinton, not Biden in absolute terms. So it makes a ton of sense.

You're saying you're a lot friendlier to Biden because, presumably, you see him as *far less* of a hawk that Clinton. But Biden was intimately involved in laying the groundwork for the Iraq War; Clinton only voted for it. Can you elaborate?

Biden apologized for his Iraq War conduct by 2005, Hillary did not apologize until 2014. Within the Obama Admin, Hillary took the hawkish side of every debate whereas Biden took the relatively less hawkish side. I think you’re mistaking an absolute case for a comparative case.

Help me understand: Biden clearing the low bar of apologising for the Iraq War once (though he's lying about it now) and being less hawkish under Obama but still devising his drone strategy for e.g. is so meaningful a difference, you're admittedly far more favourable to him?

I really have to “help you understand” that there are important foreign policy differences between Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton?pic.twitter.com/t3WDGuUMNA

Right now, Biden is refusing to support easing up on sanctions on Iran during the pandemic. How is that not a shameful position?

You’ve now changed the subject from the Hillary Clinton comparison.

I put it forward as evidence that Biden is not significantly less hawkish than Clinton. Also his ties to credit card companies (Senator from MBNA, bankruptcy bill) is as bad as anything in Clinton's record.
