1. The whole debate about "enthusiasm" for Biden is badly framed. In normal election, Democrats need both their loyal partisans and more marginal voters (who tend to be younger & poorer). Right, the analogy is strong. But Fordism (admittedly less bad than Trumpism) survived the loss and went on to win the provincial election. Biden's victory will be a godsend to Trumpism.
