here's the thing though - I think CA's numbers are being artificially depressed because they have an unprocessed backlog of 60,000 tests.

Our numbers are certainly higher. But just talking to people at various hospitals and my own, the COVID-19 census (admitted to hospital) is still pretty low. VERY different story I'm hearing from people in NYC.
