We will need a Truth without Reconciliation Committee for the entire Trump era. Thousands should be put in Prison for what they have done.

This country doesn't have a history of investigating the miss deeds if previous presidents. Quite the opposite in fact.

Nor, IMO, should such a commission happen until then. I would assume that some of the people who should be on such a commission are also people who are best suited to designing and implementing strategies to deal with the challenges we have now, regardless of how we got here.

In a decent world, after Trump leaves office there would be a damned traffic jam of commissions taking stock of what happened. I'm fine with a "Truth And Reconciliation" model: in return for openness malfeasants can escape prison - though they might lose their ill gotten gains.

Truth and Reconciliation commissions haven't really gone well in countries that have tried them. (Also, I don't want to be reconciled with those people.) I vote for a "Prosecution and Lots of Jail" model.
