What are the parties' rules on what to do if a candidate/nominee dies/has to drop out due to illness? Are delegates free? We'll all be reminded that the people who "dropped out" technically "suspended" their campaigns.

Since we're not actually voting for candidates but voting for electors, it's pretty much up to the electors to decide. Wouldn't that make for a potentially interesting Constitutional crisis?
