It seems that African Americans are very loyal to Biden and excited by him more than they were about Hillary. But there were people on the ground intimidating anyone of color in the last election. That may account for some of the lower turn out.

A smaller percentage still means that the nature of Biden's coalition is different -- it's less African-American than Hillary Clinton's coalition and more suburban white (many former GOP).
