And I'm pretty bitterly disappointed about how the whole thing got refracted into "Bernie's cooler" or "Warren has this great girl boss energy I love." It's all really moronic, but yes I realize that's politics...baby

Granted that's only in certain quarters, I have deep respect for Bernie and many of the people who respond to his message. I admit he's a more gifted politician in many ways. I hope they work together in the future.

In the absence of a European-style welfare state, access to credit is one of the most important things that the Federal government is able to modulate and Warren seemed to understand that deeply and that's why I like her

AND I always felt the best way to dispel sexism around Elizabeth Warren was to focus on what she substantially has said and done as an academic and politician and less on making her some avatar of a certain brand of cultural politics

I think Buttigieg's attack hurt her on both ends -- from moderates who thought she was too left but also from left who were disappointed as she shifted position in M4A in response.
