True. But even then it's really not quite on the mark. Biden's a party consensus establishment liberal. Center-left. Whatever you wanna call it. Yes, he's moved. But same token, one can only call him a 'moderate' because the old senate mods are all gone.

The issue with Bernie is whether he gets the soft recent suburban dem converts though

Don't be too confident in those "converts" staying converted either.

Or young people don't really vote in any appreciable numbers and shouldn't be assumed to be a winning part of an electoral coalition. Bernie could, you know, win the democratic primary and prove us all wrong if he could do something about this.

The only time a Democrat has won the presidency not as an incumbent in the last 25 years was with a very energized youth turnout, so I think it stands to reason that you probably need to figure out how to turn out young people consistently.

You don’t think the olders would be our off by Bernie? You keep talking about how Biden needs to appeal to the youth... but wouldn’t it be easier for Bernie to appeal to the olds?

Look at Biden's crowd sizes. He can't string sentences together.

So to understand: you’re saying you’d think Bernie be a better president than Biden, but that, as we sit here today, Biden has a better chance to beat Trump? Did I get that right?
