Serious question: how about Dor Yeshorim? Is it eugenics? Is it ethical? My answer to both questions is "yes". How about yours?

Well quite. His core point is correct but banal. But I'm not enthusiastic about tweets about eugenics from high-profile academics while authoritarian nationalism is enjoying a resurgence worldwide.

Um.. what's your point? Genocide is reprehensible on any ground, but if powerful people decide to kill a whole lotta regular people of one ethnicity they can do so. History clearly shows it, as you pointed out in your own tweet.

It didn’t work. That’s the point of white fear, guns, and the prison industrial complex in the United States for the last century. No happy “milked cows “ then or now. Sigh. Humans are not cows. We are at many times as dumb as them, but we are more. Sorry if I triggered any cows

For the most part ppl deplore genocide only when ppl are the target. The fact that ppl are responsible for the complete genocide of thousands of species goes by the wayside. Not to mention factory farming, where millions of baby chicks/ducks/etc are killed on an industrial scale.

Thanks for this Jeet. It parallels the Dawkins statement in a way that shows Dawkins to be just reporting.

Eugenics has worked for cows and dogs etc about as well as it worked for the Habsburgs.

Indeed. The end result of dog breeding seems to be a bunch of fucked up dogs prone to hip dysplasia & spinal deformities... Mixed mutts have always cost us fewer vet bills then any 'pure bred' given to us by relatives who couldnt care for them any longer.
