Christie Blatchford was widely mourned by the Canadian journalistic community (me including) by those who admired her gutsiness and personal kindness. But there's another side of the story. I didn't realize it was by the father. In that case, sharing it is a below-the-belt attack. Some relatives of murder victims passionately believe an exonerated suspect was guilty & hate journalists who reported exculpating evidence. Should they be treated as valid critics?

Blatchford was specifically celebrated in the National Post in their obituary for giving voice to victims. Worth listening, then, to one of the victims.
