Not sure I get the strategy behind candidates training all their fire on Bloomberg, even if he’s a deserving, easy target. Bernie is the frontrunner and is headed towards a pledged delegate lead on Super Tuesday that none of them will be able to overcome.https://twitter.com/MSNBC/status/1228719130158784514 …

I imagine Klobuchar believes she can’t win over any of Bernie’s base but might pick up lots of Bloomberg voters if he collapses?

For sure. But her immediate goal is beating most of the field in NV and SC, where Bloomberg isn’t competing. I guess if I were her or Warren or Pete or Biden, I’d try to position myself between Bernie and Bloomberg.

I think attacking Bloomberg for trying to buy the presidency is a way to appeal to wavering progressive voters without alienating them by attacking Bernie (who is well-liked).

Not attacking Bernie because he’s well-liked is a terrible strategy if you want to win. Klobuchar should go after him like the GOP will and see where the chips fall.

At this stage it's counterproductive. First you take out the other candidates, then when it is head to head you take out Bernie. It's the only path.

I think that’s a dead end for Klobuchar. Even after NH, she needs something to distinguish herself from the other moderates, especially because Bloomberg’s going to stay in until the end.

She’s positioned herself as the realist. She needs to directly take on the guy who embodies what she says can’t work.

She's attacked Sanders and Warren many times for lack of realism. It hasn't gotten much traction.

She’s done it in this vague “how are they going to pay for all this stuff?” kind of way. She should go directly at him - forget Warren - and make the case, which she believes, that his socialism is a problem, his plans are foolish, and his chances of beating Trump are small.

Bernie's real vulnerabilities are elsewhere!

Hey Jeet, legitimately curious what you think Bernie's real vulnerabilities are.
