1. There's a lot of theories floating around about why Warren has sunk in the polls and underperformed in New Hampshire (sexism, the M4A shift). Some truth to all this but more fundamentally her unity message is undermining her.

2. Warren's unity argument has the virtue of being true: she's the one candidate that the two large factions of the party (the left and liberals) can get behind. Unfortunately, the way primaries work, you have to first win and they get unity. Can't reverse that.

A large part why this didn't work was she was betting on other candidates going hard negative against each other and they haven't. It was a risk that didn't pay off. Would be different if attacks were more akin to past races.
