Let's not freak out about the Bloombergmentum until he's tested in some primaries. There's a real dearth of polls of Super Tuesday states and if he flames out and ends up helping the Dem nominee by spending a billion bucks attacking Trump it'll all be fine and dandy.

Yeah, but by one point IIRC. Meanwhile, it's been almost 3 weeks since we had a poll out of CA, which has a third of the Super Tuesday delegates.

One obvious question is whether the people who say they like Bloomberg because they saw TV ads will come out in large numbers, as against people organized by actual on the ground activism.

Obviously he's running a completely different campaign than everyone else in the field. We'll see. Embrace the uncertainty of the future.

Right -- I'm not saying that Bloomberg will fail. But it's worth noting that he's doing something no one has ever done before.

He certainly is. He's just betting it all on convincing normies he's the guy to beat Trump.

(I think he's likely to fail.)

My fear is that he'll succeed in getting the nomination and the stuff that normies are willing to overlook (stop & frisk, redlining, ) demobilize millennial and Gen Z voters.

Having $60 billion can win you some friends, in the short run at least. Not sure it can win a presidential nomination.
