If you tried to evaluate Trump’s political standing based on how elected Democrats generally approach him, you’d think he was a popular, well-liked incumbent.https://twitter.com/julianzelizer/status/1227936286293491713 …

When I close my eyes and think about who would aggressively and effectively confront Trump on a debate stage, I think of Warren and Bloomberg. Which is why I support Warren.

Trump will not debate anyone. He's no longer capable. So, the real debate question is who can do an effective job of painting Trump as a coward for this inevitable decision. I'm guessing Bloomberg or Klobuchar. Either will push Trump's buttons.

That's a strangely generous definition of Trump, given that there is so much more wrong with him than a history of racism and sexism. (To begin with, those things are not part of his history - they're actively part of his present.)
-
More substantively, I think Bloomberg's mostly just filling the spot Biden was supposed to occupy, if he'd seemed even remotely capable of running a strong campaign against Trump.

Or they just prefer MB to Bernie because MB' focus is Donald Trump, and Bernie's is destroying other Democrats, and they don't want the election to be a referendum on socialism, and thus guarantee a reelection.

Swap “Trump” for “Billionaire” and you have a point. Small sample but some of my Dem voting friends like the idea of our own billionaire. I think it’s another sign the plutocracy is here to stay.
