Maybe the tweet was bad but I think what I said was that very mainstream CNN journalists like Harry Enten as well twitter clowns like me see it as dumpster fire, so it's not going to be possible to forget it or move on.

Right, but there were also a lot of calls to "move on" (including, as you pointed out, from the Sanders campaign). I think in terms of building trust in party (key to defeating Trump), that "move on" message is bad & there should be an accountability message.

I think you're right to worry about conspiracy theories and the "it's rigged" narrative. It's dangerous and could demobilize people in general election. I think our disagreement is about what's the best way to combat this.

To be clear, I also think this was incompetence not a conspiracy. But I think that party has to make clear what it is doing to fix that incompetence. Trust is an ongoing process.

There are a certain number of dingbats that will always jump on the conspiracy theories. They are beyond our reach. But there is a broader number of people who are persuadable -- they can be weaned away if there is an effort to build trust.
