Remember how Buttigieg (on dubious grounds) got the DMR to spike the last poll? That hurt Warren more than anyone -- poll showed her doing well and would've given her a boost.

Also Warren's strong third place showing (well above poll predictions) would be getting a lot more attention if it weren't for the vote tabulation screw up.

Finishing ahead of Biden gives her the right to claim top three though, and less than 10% separates her from the winner. There would be calls for her to drop out if she was 4th. Which would be ridiculous of course. Iowamentum shouldn't be a thing.

I think it's her only path to victory. Let Biden and Pete falter in NH/SC respectively, maybe notch a win in NV, stay above the fray as Bernie supporters turn their attention to Buttigieg, emerge with an establishment coalition that has agreed to bend left towards her platform.

Or she's not doing it because coming in third isn't a victory and her campaign doesn't want more attention given to that.

Warren should use this opportunity to roll out a plan about fixing systemic incentive structure problems between DNC, third party firms, and state parties re elections. Launch with a speech, taking a totally different angle than candidates jockeying for horserace debate.

This is her strength and it's the right thing to do because party needs to recognize this is corrosive to integrity and voter confidence. She positions herself as adult in the room and elevates herself above bickering without taking shots at any candidate. She can fix this.
