It's a curious thing that after every massive institutional failure (Epstein's death in prison, Iowa) there's a subset of people more upset about the conspiracy theories these events generate than the fact there was a massive institutional failure.

1) Lots and lots of people are extremely upset about the failure, as a quick perusal of this website will reveal 2) Spreading conspiracy theories makes the initial underlying failure a lot worse and more destructive

We also have no control over the institutional failures. We have total control over whether or not to spread false conspiracy theories.

Wait.. you think we have more control over conspiracy theories spreading on the internet than we do institutional failures? The former is literally uncontrollable.

It's not uncontrollable in the slightest. If people don't spread conspiracy theories, they won't spread.

I mean, scold away but you're tilting at windmills. If conspiracy theories were able to spread BEFORE the age of the internet, there's certainly no controlling them now. You can mitigate them by ensuring our elections are run in a trustworthy way, though.

the connection between entrenched political power and corruption and malfeasance is a conspiracy theory, two me, a very smart person.

So you think they rigged the election, but did so in a way that would guarantee Biden would come in 4th or 5th, and that would steal the thunder from Buttigieg, who would have gotten huge headlines from even a 2nd-place finish? Brilliant plan.

The Ceo of the app used in Iowa is a Pete supporter, and is married to Michael Halle, Pete's strategist. Pete punted the DMR poll on the eve of the caucus, and tried (and failed) to run away as the anointed one in a poorly executed ratfucking attempt & media blitz.pic.twitter.com/d4lG5OqHRv

He punted the poll and then came in 2nd? Why did he punt a poll that would have shown him doing better than everyone but Bernie?

Agree that the Buttigieg makes no sense on a logical level. The Iowa screw up hurt him maybe more than anyone.
