She's to his right but she and her backers generally didn't use right-wing arguments to attack him. To the extent his socialism was criticized it was mostly for being the Old Left "class over race/gender" kind.

I think the assumption is an outfit like Fox News will move from a position of bemused indifference to a wall-to-wall assault if he were the nominee, and that’s likely to have an effect.

The greatest similarity between Sanders and Trump is the reasons they are anathema to press and the beltway and the reasons their supporters support them are the same.

Well, there's a lot about Bernie that's in the public domain, but hasn't been really used yet. Trump would use it. Believe me, it would be ugly, and it would seem new to most voters. I like Bernie. He isn't my candidate (I'm Team Warren), but I like him fine. But ... ugh.

i do think this is a serious concern for Sanders - the right wing media has never attacked him in a sustained/repetitive way. Sanders was largely useful to the right in 2016, but that will obviously change if he is the nominee.

and I like Bernie and think their is a strong electability case for him. But his candidacy is very risky for this reason.
