I just realized that Birdman already won the one-take gimmick Oscar so if 1917 wins Best Picture, every prestige drama for the next eight years, for absolutely no reason, is going to be a fake Rope shot digitally reassembled in post
I suppose a better example would be Hitchcock's Rope, which was I think 2 takes, although so seemlessly edited it seems like one.
