Oh wow I am way more broke than I thought. It'd be like donating a shiny penny for me

. Or, as I said elsewhere, Bezos is donating an irrelevant rounding error in one day’s transactions for his net worth’s money managers

I made a google sheet called "how to spend a billion dollars (it's pretty hard)" where you can enter any purchase, how many you want, its value, and compare your struggle to spend a billion dollars to multibillionaires. I'll make a copy for anyone who wants to see the insanity.

Companies now need to disclose CEO pay to that of median worker. WalMart's ratio was 1076:1. In other words, it would take 10 employees a century to earn what the CEO made in 2018. It would take 100 such employees more than a decade.

I say this *all the time. Most Americans think being rich = nice cars, big house, summer house and fancy vacations. They have zero concept of how rich the very rich are. So when they say a person "worked hard for their $" they mean a (non SF/NYC) person making like $300k

Here’s my favorite way. If you have a measly billion dollars and live for 25 years, how much do you have to spend PER DAY to die with $0? $109,514 PER DAY! And that’s with no interest. People have no clue how much money is $1,000,000,000
