Maybe it’s 3 ambulance rides in 15 months, getting over 40 shocks from my internal defibrillator, & knowing bc of Obamacare I cant be denied insurance & yearly caps protect my kids from growing up fatherless & poor, that I really want to tell Cenk to his face to go fuck himselfhttps://twitter.com/tbogg/status/1210749970325729281 …

2010: Obamacare signed into law with the help of Pelosi. 2013: Cenk Uygur (at the tender age of 43) was defending ranking women by how fuckable they are. So, really, who is the real progressive here? pic.twitter.com/5vkR9GwefJ

I’m convinced Cenk wouldn’t be a “progressive” had his joining the Federalist Society resulted in better career options.

I regularly see someone talk about how they got good medical care without going bankrupt & someone respond w disdain that not everyone is lucky to have good insurance & care 1. You think people don’t know they’re lucky? 2. You think they’ve never had bad/no coverage?

Having good medical coverage/care isn’t like growing up in comparative privilege & wealth. Health care coverage isn’t a long term status that seldom changes & is predictive of life opportunities. Most families experience abrupt & capricious changes in their health coverage/care

This is a good argument for Medicare for All.

The idea that “ good arguments” for Medicare for All translate into “ Medicare for All could have passed in 2009 or even now if that argument was made” is super dumb. Medicare for All is not passing because it lacks good arguments: it’s not passing because it isn’t popular enough

Because it’s the only way to increase coverage, single payer is the only way any country achieves universal coverage, & it would be better if I was paying $20,000 a year in co-pays instead of $4,000. Gotcha.
