Did any great 20th century Anglo American modernist poets have normal good lives. No awful husbands, impetuous wife abandoning/institutionalization, fascism, etc. Wallace Stevens was normal, right? Insurance executives aren’t weird.

To be fair, only after the Dodgers left Brooklyn. (Cf. "Hometown Piece for Mssrs. Alston and Reese.") The Yanks were the only baseball team left in NYC to root for till the Mets came to life a few years later, so I'd give her a pass.
