The question is are primary voters well equipped to judge who is electable or not? Because right now, voters think Biden and Buttigieg are more electable than Klobuchar & Booker. I'm not sure I agree.

Elections aren't held on paper, of course.

Why does Bennet get zero run as the moderate alternative no one is talking about maybe we should be?

There’s some amount of shiny new thing with Buttigieg and Obama’s man with Biden that Klo and Book can’t compete with also Booker is very lib on a # of things just pro his home state industry

Look at the polling against Trump, that's what gives Biden the edge. Also, the others are relative unknowns and very likely to have their reputations destroyed by the GOP propaganda machine if they were ever to get the nomination.
-
Literally any Democratic nominee will be given that treatment. Polling against Trump right now is purely name recognition and nostalgia.

Part of being electable is getting a portion of your base actually Inspired and excited, isn’t it?
-
If that's the criteria then you'd have to ask who draws the biggest crowds and gets (by far) the most individual donations.

I mean, I like all four of them. Biden's strength seems pretty elementary: close association to extremely popular ex-president. But this seems to dodge the issue. Isn't the real issue driving this convo why people stick with Biden, not why Booker is flagging?
-
I think Booker screwed himself when he attacked Obama for attacking Bain Capital. Seen through that prism aspects of his delivery that might seem positive seem phony to me.

Isn't the original statement rather banal? Of course it's "reasonable" for voters to prioritize electability. He's saying nothing noteworthy in contending that. The real question is a normative one--SHOULD voters prioritize electability?
-
Correct. What Obama was said was basically totally unremarkable.
