Ragnarok is sooooo clever & awesome not gonna communicate the sublime subjectivity of any Scorsese film cuz of pace Beethoven learned to use pause, Shakespeare learned to use pause, Ragbarok doesn’t have pause

I love that story but it's an example of a really uncomfortable trope in comics where the super powerful female characters are seemingly never able to control their power. They're always going crazy and committing genocide or something.

They did an extremely similar storyline with Scarlet Witch in the 2000s. And in Infinity Gauntlet the most poetic ending would've been for Nebula to save the day. But of course she can't handle omniscience, becomes mad with power, and everyone joins forces to take her down.

Tbf the entire human experience is pretty lame when you analyze it that thoroughly. All art is self-indulgent tripe.

The Dark Phoenix Saga is the ultimate id/ego story. (But the movies—that I do sometimes enjoy—have criminally wasted this storyline)
