It's also why "ban the billionaires" is not just some radical lefty idea. I'm only slightly to the left but it seems pretty obvious to me that having billionaires and a fully functioning democracy are simply incompatible.

the constitution wasn't something derived from plato's heaven it was written in response to a series of practical problems that all the founders recognized -- it's an inherently pragmatic document and today we have new problems, requiring new solutions
