He's the chosen one of a very wealthy set of donors and is pouring millions into Iowa, which is the only thing keeping him relevant.

Centrist white voters. It appears African-American voters are overwhelmingly sticking with Biden for the time being.
-
Their bigger problem is that Butiegieg isn't the second choice of African-Americans, nor is Klobuchar.

If they had good judgement in picking horses, they wouldn't be centrists
-
..but if their judgement is 'keep all my money', they got it. Whether Pete wins or he loses, they get to keep a lot of their money.

I'm honestly a bit puzzled. I'll probably vote for Warren, but if the moderates carry the day, I'd be more comfortable with Klobuchar/Harris/Booker than Buttigieg. Though at least Buttigieg is a better option than Biden.

MP would be great, and any concern about any D's is stupid and counterproductive from those who don't want a The Boy King 2nd term. Even Biden's experience and knowledge of where the levers are would be "fine" for damage control and repair, which is arguably what the next 4 are
-
MP's linguistic skills alone helpful for the international damage done. Harris good for putting the current crop of R's in jail. Warren good for practical solutions where thought has been placed. Etc.

I don't think Iowa represents the will of the broader nation, especially as time goes by. It's not really new America.
