2. I mean it's understandable why Democrats are nervous after 2016 when Trump won a fluke-y electoral college victory. And work needs to be done to assure that doesn't happen again. But fear is a mindkiller. It's clarifying to keep an eye on the big picture.

3. Fear is the mind-killer: the prospect of a Trump re-election is used as a cudgel to force Democrats to be more cautious. But at least in the special elections, what we're seeing is an energized party where even the most moderate candidates are more progressive than before.
