      Should add that I think all the movies Sturges wrote & directed are worth watching except, maybe, for The Great Moment.

          I think the mood shifts in ST are jarring & don't quite work. And the ending in PBS is a bit too loopy & rabbit-out-of-the-hat.

          Big fan of HAIL THE CONQUERING HERO here. Bugs getting up and walking onto the stage is a great moment. Steele and everybody down to the cynical headwaiter are first rate. Also, the opening setup of DIDDLEBOCK is so awesome it would be hard for anything to live up to it.
