Disney is evil. They have made billions of dollars off of public domain work, only to then hide their product behind copyright law, that they actively work to make more draconian.

far be it from me to defend Disney, but this article says that it's getting harder to see classic movies in FOR-PROFIT theaters, not all theaters. they're still letting non-profit theaters show them. that's a pretty important distinction, one that's hidden away in the fine print
