You're overthinking this: fact-checking columns (as opposed to fact-checkers who verify details of an article) are about deciding who's wrong and working backward from that premise. It's the domain of high-school debate champions who are trying to score imaginary points

Exactly. As a straight up positive matter, it is simply not true that "economists mostly blame those job losses on automation and robots", even if it were true that automation and robots cause most job losses.
