In a case of widely practised systemic discrimination against a class of people (i.e. pregnant employees), should the left position in a case of "inconclusive documentary evidence" be "we don't know" or "likely the discrimination happened."

nobody reasonable would have questioned it if she hadn't already told that story with very different framing in the past - in this case the fact that it now fits nicely with a different & convenient political narrative may make it less believable (esp. given past NA stories)

I should say I don’t take a particularly strong stance on it either way, b/c I don’t see the stories as truly incompatible given an allowance for interpretive framing and have strong reservations re: Warren that don’t depend on it
