If cinema criteria is about exploring the human condition then Marvel films leave almost zilch to chew on after viewed apart from the nature of wish fulfilment, but as an entertainment they are like a theme park and often marvellous.

To those feeling blindsided by Scorsese: the guy knew what was going down w/ Lucas & Star Wars way back when. He knows movies can be about certain things & made for certain audiences. Not every flick is verité. He surely knows this. He probably understands the need for them too
