Yes, there was never any dissent in the Democratic party against Clinton or Obama on major policy issues. https://twitter.com/zeithistoriker/status/1177942852933844992 …

Thanks for that. I’m from Detroit, was executive assistant to the president of the Metro Detroit AFL-CIO, did labor policy for the Dems in tbe MI Senate, & was loosely part of David Bonior’s political operation, so I didn’t know about that [I’m sure you know who David Bonior is]

As someone who grew up with Bonior as his congressman, bagged trees for him in grade school, and generally consider him to be a personal political hero, I don't see what you're going for in invoking his name here in left bashing.

Claiming the Bernie-aligned leftists are responsible for sowing division on the Clinton and Obama legacies and recasting them as center-right villains. I don't think Bonior would discard those critiques so readily, obnoxious as they may be at times.

I did! A bunch of times. You're basically saying that critique of the more centrist aspects of the Clinton-Obama years are internet leftist chattering that's out of step with the rank and file Democratic voter.

No. I was commenting on Jeet tweeting something odd & obscure which implied that Dems who are generally pro-Obama/pro-Clinton are some rump group of the Dem electorate. That’s not political analysis, that’s ridiculous fantasy fiction.pic.twitter.com/orMcDaVmhP

I don't think that's what he was saying at all. You can be pro-Obama/Clinton and also recognize that the political strategy that guided their presidencies is growing increasingly less relevant and may have hindered their own accomplishments, formidable as they were.

Which is in fact what I was arguing.
