Yes, there was never any dissent in the Democratic party against Clinton or Obama on major policy issues. https://twitter.com/zeithistoriker/status/1177942852933844992 …

Thanks for that. I’m from Detroit, was executive assistant to the president of the Metro Detroit AFL-CIO, did labor policy for the Dems in tbe MI Senate, & was loosely part of David Bonior’s political operation, so I didn’t know about that [I’m sure you know who David Bonior is]

Yes, Dana, I know you have a long and varied career in Democratic party. Which is why I get frustrated when you claim an 95% consensus in party that (as you know well) has had many divisions.

      A. You can’t point to where I said or implied 95% consensus on policy or strategy bc I didn’t B. That you think there’s some big Dem faction that’s not pro-Obama or pro-Clinton is bizarroland. But hey, you go with that. I’m sure it leads to sound analysis.

People like Obama enormously as a person even if they disagree with some of his policies, same with Clinton (to a lesser degree). So obviously personal popularity can be coupled with people wanting different policies.

I don’t think he’s ever been a political reporter (or of any kind), been involved in US politics (& maybe not in Canada either),has any facility w quantitative data or probabilistic reasoning, has ever lived in tbe US, traveled much in the US, or even been to DC.

I had a Fulbright scholarship and lived in USA for a year and have travelled pretty widely on east and west coast & Texas. Not so much internally as I'd like.

Or canvassed a neighborhood. Or watched a focus group. Or talked to people outside a HS football game or a church or a DMV or at a farmer’s market or a Walmart. Or talked much to African-Americans or Latinos or 25 y/o white women who’ve never attended college.

But you're also very hostile to the reporters who do that stuff like Ryan Grim! Strange!

That’s not an answer Jeet. I would like to hear your answer. If it is no and you have other reasons, okay. But Dana has a valid point.

I’ve received three DM’s in the last 30’minutes, each to the effect of “WTF fell on Jeet’s head?” How long do you figure it will take Ryan Grim to out them?

Hey guys, 4 Dem primary candidates have been to my hometown so far: Warren, Beto, Booker, and Bernie Sanders. Bernie’s crowd was 10X larger than any of the others, at least. I live in deep-red Oklahoma
