I said bad faith because her argument didn't seem at all relevant to my claim there is a vernacular meaning in English which distinct from any German meaning or academic meaning. Bringing up a moot point is part of the bad faith here.

I'm not familar with what's being subtweeted. But why does bringing up a moot point imply bad faith? People correct each other about finer points of topics all the time and academics tend to enjoy it the most, especially when people are being directed to a bad source on a topic
