Plenty of women focus their energies on being mad on the internet. But men are more likely to say and do things which more flagrantly violate the evolving social norms. They don't seem to change with the times as well as women.

Would it be unkind to say that men going batty in middle age tend to be _louder_? And women are considered (mostly by men) battier at every age, particularly in their 40's, so perhaps batty middle-aged men are seen as more upsetting to society.
