Hill headline is, as so often, a little misleading. Complaint was not that program wasn't anti-Islam but that it wasn't pro-Jewish & pro-Christian enough. Still, it's a serious breach of academic freedom and should be condemned as such.

Also my understanding is that Title VI funding for languages has always encompassed not just linguistic ability but also cultural awareness (as would make sense in humanities program).
