2. The impossibility of impeachment doesn't mean it shouldn't be done. There is value in getting the evidence against him on the public record, and also underscoring how the FBI wasn't given time to investigate & the nomination was stampeded through.

3. So, moving forward: investigation & impeachment. But maybe also other ways to dilute Kavanaugh's power. Some thoughts here: https://www.thenation.com/article/kavanaugh-new-york-times/ …

Kavanaugh's term will outlive Trump's and this current GOP Senate, so who knows?

There will never be 67 dems in the senate in Kavanaugh's lifetime.

Congress can pass a law with a bare majority removing him, and declare it unreviewable by scotus or any lower court. Hardball goes both ways

We're saddled with some constitutional language that didn't anticipate what we're facing now. I wish we could challenge the OLC opinion that a sitting president can't be indicted & let criminal law take its course. Impeachment is almost impossible with the 2/3 Senate vote reqt.

“On merits” Which ones? Why? I think you believe allegations with little to no proof, and the majority of Americans do not. Therefore, it’s likely to cost democrats some elections...this isn’t not a smart strategy move.

I like the idea of impeaching Kavanaugh a lot more than Trump. With Trump there is an election where he can actually be removed. Kavanaugh is an improperly vetted, lifetime appointee...rammed through with a sham investigation where witnesses weren't even talked to.

They can impeach later, say 4 or 5 years from now.
