As long as we replace it with nothing, sure. Gun ownership isn't something that needs enshrining in a foundational document, any more than car ownership or pet ownership.

An even more valid reason is, that it is a slavery amendment. "Well-regulated militias" were slave patrols. High time America comes to terms with its past.

Though this seems like a pipe dream in our poisoned political environment, the GOP's use of the currently bastardized version of the 2nd Amendment to justify gun proliferation, & the absence of regulatory action by congress, makes this possibly the only answer.
