Not if Rupert Murdoch, et. al. are persuaded that Trump is nuts. Pence is reassuring, could survive upheaval controversies, be nominated after primary battles against not-so-loyal "loyalists" (who?), and then take on the Democrat. Ford lost but Republican brand survived.

What if Rupert Murdoch decides that it’s hopeless, and says that Fox News will rally hard behind the substitute? Maybe it wouldn’t work— the 20% aren’t sheep— but you can’t imagine McConnell & company deciding that it’s worth the gamble even then?
