Ignores Jefferson's role as pioneer of scientific racism (which became cornerstone of later slavery defense) and also how he & other founders (and later Lincoln) were interested in colonizing schemes to get rid of free blacks (not to have them as equal citizens).

No, but he supported it until very late (1862) and had to be pushed to support emancipation.
