Yep! If Biden were the nominee he'd be running as Clinton Redux, but with far less ability to generate enthusiasm than Clinton had. Biden could still win the presidency (Trump is hated & facing economic headwinds) but this isn't a good formula going forward.https://twitter.com/alexburnsNYT/status/1163762196943429634 …

He has less enthusiastic voters than Clinton, but also a lot less people who hate him. A lot of his opponents have won the hatred of a significant portion of the Democratic party. He might win by having the least negatives.

Clinton had pretty great favorability numbers prior to running. There was even a point late in Obama’s first term or early in his second where she polled as the most popular political figure in America. Favorability ratings can take a nosedive quickly in campaigns.

How the hell is Biden even climbing? He offered nothing in the debates, his policies suck. Is it just the Obama effect?

Overarching negative for Biden is age, as he nears his octogenarian 80's. Un-electable simply on this basis alone. Who in their right mind would select/elect a politician who has very high probability of serious illness or death within four years. Biden is burnt toast, just stop!

Running HRC again would be a better strategy for Dems than nominating Biden.

The possibility of Biden winning in 2020 and Trump pulling a Grover Cleveland in in 2024 is too hilarious to ignore. We live in the dumbest times.

By 2024 Trump probably won't be able to regularly form complete words anymore, but it nevertheless seems somehow plausible that GOP primary voters are going to keep re-nominating the guy every four years for the rest of his natural life.
