If I had to pick a position, I'd say Twitter Is Not Real Life. But it's more complicated: the real left isn't on twitter but in the upsurge of union militancy & popular protests. But many in elite use annoyance at Twitter critics as proxy for their anxiety about mass protests.

"Twitter is not real life" has become meaningless now that this platform has become the means of communication privileged by the president of the United States.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I very much imagine a war - a real geopolitical war, not a culture war carried out from the fringes - being started over a tweet.

I don’t understand what you are trying to say. What ppl mean when they say twitter is not real life, is that it represents a smaller percentage of the population than you would otherwise think, not that they don’t exist.

He’s calling out the hypocrisy of the right. Either twitter doesn’t matter OR the leftists on twitter are a national threat. Both can’t be true but they hysterically claim it to be so.
