The "actually, hebephilia is not pedophilia" hot take is boring because it rests on the banal fact that words can have both a technical meaning & a vernacular one. In Epstein's case, 14 year olds are certainly legally minors so it's fair to call him a child molester.

It's 100% bad-faith semantics. *Technically*, paedophilia only involves prepubescent children, but in literally all discourse - including legal - it's a catch-all term.
