Polls weren’t way off though. Closer than 2012

But the polls were wrong, and the point is that Jeet is just remarking about 2016 as if it was a level playing field in the face of all the evidence that it wasn’t.

They weren’t wrong. Trump had a decent chance to win and he did (Russian interference may have had an effect; that was reflected in polls.)

Uh, maybe you should A. Look at the dates of when those polls went in to & came out of the field B. Check out the date of the first Comey letter

Also check out the date of the second Comey letter, which pollsters on both sides say provided the final movement to get Trump the win.

I don't think you can decontextualize Comey from election strategy. Comey had a big impact because Clinton campaign demobilized many Dems & banked so much on suburban GOP crossover votes, the very people likely to be moved by Comey saying Clinton is crooked.

That first sentence may be the dumbest thing I’ve read about the 2016 election. People who opposed the Iraq War blew it in 1999, because they should have planned for the stolen 2000 election and for the attacks on 9-11.

Do you actually believe that? Would you have said it two days ago, before you decided to empty every chamber in to your foot, then reload & resume shooting? Or are you saying it bc you won’t admit you’re wrong—or that anything I’ve said is right—& you just can’t walk away?

I've been saying some version of this since 2016.
