PA it was fine. Almost everywhere black turnout was down, but in places (like PA) where there was an active field effort & no suppression the drop was small. In MI she ran better than Obama in several of the largest counties, but small rural counties he won in 2008 & lost in...

Fun facts! Dukakis in 1988 lost popular vote by 7.8 pts; Clinton won it by 2.1. Dukakis' electoral college vote was 111; Clinton's was more that twice that at 227. Dukakis lost California by 4.5 pts; Clinton won CA by 30. Yay
@heerjeet with misleading historical comparisons! -
Shouldn't surprise you Jeet is only good at throwing dirt on himself as he digs a deeper hole for himself and Bernie.

She won the popular vote. Maybe it’s hard to win third terms and trump didn’t quite underperform enough. Dems did well last two years in any case, so doesn’t seem like there’s a permanent problem w their approach...
-
Surely winning the popular vote by such a huge huge margin and then failing in key strategic states is a clear indication of poor dem strategy? So the campaign team, not Clinton failed?

Jeet, unlike you, this is neither defending or attacking Hillary’s I didn’t spend months looking at & thinking about election data to protect or defeat some “side,” I did it because I want to know the truth, & do better next time.
-
And FTR, I do have criticisms. I have issues w their canvass strategy, how they did & didn’t respond to canvass data to adjust their model, allocation of resources, how they used their FO’s...you know, stuff that was crucial that I’m confident you’ve never thought about

I really wish that people who got the exact outcome they campaigned for out of the 2016 election would stop trying to frame that outcome as someone else's failure.
-
Also, anyone who wants to frame the outcome of 2016 as "Hillary's failure" without mentioning things like voter ID, the DNC attacks, Trump's foreign collusion, the breeches of voter systems in FL, etc., is necessarily providing cover for all those things to happen again in 2020.

She won more votes than anyone besides Obama. where does the Republican responsibility lie? That's who selected the reality show buffoon and sexual predator as their standard bearer. And they cheated every way they could to elect him. But yeah bad messaging was the problem. Sadhu
