Yeah. Maybe it's because I'm not out there looking to fuel my petty grievances, but academics on Twitter are pretty great for their fields. Big name people educate randos like me, younger people debate new topics and I get to eavesdrop, I'm never at a loss for what to read, etc.

Yeah, I'd say in all these fields (particularly law) there are few big names that have really beclowned themselves but also many regular folks who have really used the medium well. It's a continuation of the blogging, which had a similar bridgebuilding between academics & public
